A-Level - CD Lingua

A-Level is really a very different level of German. I must say that it certainly becomes very obvious why you would only want to have a native German speaker helping your son or daughter with any extra tuition for these exams. Everyone who is doing A-Level German will notice the major step up from GCSE German. Personally, I find it truly enjoyable to teach this level as the way these young adults move ahead and start using the language is inspiring.

Lessons can be online or direct at CDlingua. The choice is yours. Online lessons are really taking off and one of the advantages is that you are never limited to location. Some of my A-Level students are online as they simply live too far away. As it is a very sensitive time the students will receive more in depth online materials as required and may need more help with their oral exams but also with essays and other German literature and films.

We have a monitoring and report back programme which will keep parents informed of how the tuition is going and if it is effective enough. Though it will also give the student a clear outline of their studies and what needs to be done in the future. The student will be given continuously the opportunity to change the way the tuition is going according to his or her needs.

Learning a language should be fun and involve a lot of speaking to practice the newly learned knowledge and be able to make use of it very quickly. The lessons will be designed specifically around the student and his or her needs, incorporating various types of learning tools using a personalised, supportive and friendly approach.

ONLINE LESSONS work very well and can be arranged individually or for groups. Most lessons are via Skype but other platforms can be used. Study material will be sent via skype or email prior to the lesson, also skype is a great way of keeping record of vocabulary which is accessible any time after the lesson has finished. Most students studying for A-Level German put aside one hour per week for extra tuition which is a great start though with the amount of work everybody does in school and outside of school it often doesn't seem enough.
